Employee & Position Tracking
Employee records can be located based on name, number, social security number, title, department, or retirement number. Unique to PSTek software is the cross-referencing of Employee and Position histories, so that position information can be created directly from the employee history, avoiding redundancy. The module maintains a complete history of each employee, including raises, promotions, union and wage status, and multiple positions, with rapid access to the entire history. It enables you to generate lists, letters and notifications, and will seamlessly integrate with your payroll system, eliminating double posting.
The Position Tracking module maintains complete position history, including the multiple occupants of specific positions, vacant and abolished positions, budget preparation and planning, exam planning for provisional employees, EEO tracking and more.
Civil Service Applicants & Exams
This module tracks all applicants for exams and for positions where no exam is required. For exams, it stores information such as site and time of an exam, grades or performance evaluations, attendance, fees paid and more. It automatically generates a wide variety of notifications and letters to applicants, and includes a comprehensive set of reports. It generates eligible lists, including promotional and continuous lists. Eligible candidates can be pre-canvassed, canvassed, certified, and appointed, and all of these actions and more are tracked on the eligible list. The Civil Service module automatically posts applicant information to the Employee module when an appointment is made.
Personnel Actions
Tracking personnel actions is one of the most critical and delicate areas of human resources, often requiring sensitivity and confidentiality. This module tracks grievances, sick leave, Workers Compensation, ADA, disciplinary actions, and more. All PSTek personnel management software is secured through a password-protected system, so employee confidentiality is ensured.
Inventory
This module allows the customer to issue equipment to the individual employees, and track all relevant info about the equipment. Examples might be when a police department issues guns, bikes, or vests to its officers, or when public works departments issue tools.
The data stored includes purchase information (cost, date) maintenance history (inspections, service schedules, contracts) and disposal information. All data can be accessed easily from the main employee screen.
Training & Education
This module enables you to track all the training and education activities of your employees, as well as any licensing, certification, credits or special skills they earn. This includes classes taken, instructors, financial accountability, attendance rosters, a course catalog and more. It can issue letters to, for example, colleges or instructors, and tracks the cost of training or classes for effective budget planning. This module will automatically issue a letter to the employee and a report to you when licences are up for renewal or expiration.
Scanning & Archiving
Scanning documents saves your personnel time and headaches by being immediately viewable—no hunting for files or misplaced papers. This module attaches scanned documents to records already in the system, including Photo IDs, Drivers Licenses, Exam Announcements, Applications and more.
Employee Benefits
This module tracks all dependents and applicable benefits, sends out automated reminders of expirations, and includes COBRA and HIPPA requirements.
Leave Tracking
Holiday, sick leave, vacation, family and medical leave--this module tracks an unlimited number of leave types and gives a full historic reporting of all leave taken and accrued with automatic posting and data that can be seamlessly integrated with an external payroll program.
Online Applications
Employment applications can be completed and civil service exam applicants can register over the internet.
Online Eligible Lists
Employees who took an exam can view whether they are eligible via the internet, greatly reducing the number of people coming to your office to find their place on the list.
